FAQ's

Q: How do I turn my Nano on?

A: Press the Dark Energy logo on the front of the Nano. That’s your power button. Once it’s on, the Nano will stay active while charging a device, then automatically shut off after a short period of inactivity to conserve power.

Title

Q: How many times will this charge my phone?

A: The Poseidon Nano delivers about 50-70% of a full phone charge, depending on your phone’s battery size. It’s built to give you a reliable boost when you need it most.

Title

Q: How come the MagSafe charging won’t work on my phone?

A: To use MagSafe charging, your phone must support MagSafe wireless charging. Most iPhones, iPhone 8 and newer work — but if your case is too thick, made of metal, or not MagSafe-compatible, it can block the connection.

Title

Q: The Nano gets warm when charging — is that normal?

A: Yes. All power banks generate some heat while charging, especially during wireless charging.

Love it but short lived.

So I have loved this battery. I got it as a giveaway at a business event. It would give me 30-40 percent extra charge on my iPhone 14 Pro. Which was great. Just enough to get me through days I had used the phone a lot. But now about 9 months after I got it, the battery has failed and the device has started to swell. I would be hesitant to buy another one or buy it for someone else if I am going to be replacing it every 6-12 months.

Thank you for taking the time to leave a review for the Poseidon Nano! We are happy to hear that you loved it and that it provided you with extra charge for your iPhone 14 Pro. However, we are so sorry to hear about the issue you encountered after 9 months of using it. We want to assure you that this is a rare occurrence as our product has a less than 1% defect rate, but unfortunantly can still happen. Please know that this is covered under our 2 year warranty, so please reach out to our support team so we can get you taken care of!

Read the fine print

This is my fifth Dark Energy product. That includes the model I bought when the company was a Kickstarter campaign. Worth noting, that battery still works to a degree (charge a phone to full once, at least), but how old is it? I doubt other batteries last that long (lifespan) or suffer that much abuse. That's why I purchased four more.

However, the Nano is a disappointment.

First, the good. The size, weight, fit & finish are great. Second, the fact that it includes cordless charging can be a lifesaver, especialy if you don't have a cable.

However, the whole "top off the phone" idea might have made sense in the product planning meetings, but here is why it's substandard in the field. A) A phone with an older battery would be the target market, but on my wife's iPhone 14, she only gets a max of 20% refill. On my newer model I get about 50%. So the more you need a Nano, the less likely it is to meet your needs. B) at half-the price of the Poseidon, it only has 20 to 25% of the charging capability. I understand build quality and size constraints are at play here, but had I tested it as soon as I got it, I would have been looking into a return. C) They're (slightly) better now, but the original adverts and pages for the Nano were not exactly leading with 'this is a top-off band aid for total emergencies.' I'm sorry, but I can get a ratchet 'stick-some-AAs-in-this-chinesium-case-and-keep-your-phone-alive' products for a fraction of the cost of Nano. Bottom Line: if you know you need something for this specific task, want it small, has mag-safe charging, and want to feel good knowing it's well built, then Nano is for you. Otherwise buy a Poseidon. Full stop.

Thank you for taking the time to leave a review for the Poseidon Nano. We appreciate your loyalty to our brand and are sorry to hear that the Nano didn't meet your expectations.

We understand your frustrations with the charging capability and want to assure you that we are constantly working to improve our products.

The Poseidon Nano's 3,000 mAh capacity is designed to provide a partial charge for your phone, making it an excellent option for an everyday carry to give your device that crucial boost throughout the day. We appreciate your feedback and will take it into consideration for future improvements.

We are also happy to hear that your previous Dark Energy Poseidon is still working after all these years! If you have any other concerns about any of your purchases please reach out to our support team.

Extremely Disappointed!!!

Gambled on the Nano for backpacking power along with the solar charger for simple watch and phone charging, and I lost the bet! Barely charges my phone about 15 to 20 percent before depleting. Lite and tough design, but hugely disappointed. Not worth the investment. Recommend sticking with proven quality brands you’ve come to trust.

We're sorry to hear about your experience with the Poseidon Nano. This is not typical and the Nano should be able to provide more charge than what you have described. We understand your disappointment and we want to assure you that our goal is to provide high-quality products for our customers. We recommend reaching out to our support team regarding the 2-year warranty. They will be happy to assist you and make sure that your Nano is functioning properly. We value your feedback and want to make things right for you.
Thank you for your honest review and we hope to have the opportunity to turn your experience around.

Not Worth It

It is not worth the money as I can’t even get a full charge out of it. It will only charge my phone to about 50% at best. But I guess that’s better than it going dead.

Thanks for the review. The Nano is more meant as a small EDC, giving you just enough battery for the last hour or two of the day until you get home. If you looking for more power, the Poseidon Pro may be more the product for you! (you'll get about 2-3 charges). Something that can also be helpful to know is that your phone case makes a difference. The thinner it is, the better. Thicker cases use more energy to go through, and also create more heat. You can also connect the Nano to your phone using the provided cable for a bit more charge.

Very Disappointing, was a waste of money

The Nano would only charge about 30% of my iPhone 17 on a single charge. I would have expected it to charge my phone more. It felt very large for such a small 3,000 MAH battery. At a minimal this charger is too small to be effective at anything I own. Wish I would have know about the 40% thermal loss as this makes such a small charger ineffective.

Hi there, thanks for your feedback. We’re sorry the Nano didn’t meet your expectations. It’s designed as an EDC charger for quick top-offs, and while a 3,000 mAh bank will charge larger phones like the iPhone 17 only partially, the performance you described does seem lower than expected.
We’ll reach out to you directly to look into the issue and see how we can make this right. Thanks again for sharing your experience.
