1. This charger is superior and you'll notice massive improvements in speed compared to a standard charger.
2. I've compared vs less expensive models found online and the others a) fail/break easily b) claim to offer throttling based upon the plugged in device's draw needs, but they do not.
3. I've never fried or blown or burned out gear when charging with this device. Not true for online knock offs.
The only downsides are
1. Weight - to have something of this caliber, you need proper internal components, many of which are on the heavy side. That said, it's worth carrying, even if heavier.
2. Some (very few) items won't charge on this unit. Specifically some very small battery devices (probably not something in your gear list, but household things) and some rechargeable flashlights (from one of the top-name flashlight makers that you see on military and law enforcement rigs). So don't plug it in and assume it's charging. Verify each time you try a new device with this unit.
But this thing is worth the asking price, and I hate shelling out that kind of cash for 'a charger' but if I would have purchased this the first time, I would have saved money from all of the cheaper units I bought only to have those fail. Worth the money.
